Hello...

Blossom & Kelp is a creative wedding & events florist based on the rugged north coast of Cornwall, run by Rachel and her trusty dog 'Kelp'.

With a background in illustration & design, Rachel has a passion for colour and texture, she loves to create arrangements that echo nature with grasses, seed heads and berries complimenting the flowers and foliage in her designs. Rachel loves nothing better than to walk in the countryside & is drawn to the offerings of the season, which inspires each arrangement to be completely unique.

'I am passionate about all things natural, wild and slightly undone. Berries, seed pods, grasses and unusual foliage are some of my favourites to include in my creations! I take my inspiration from nature and the seasons and having a background in art, illustration and design, I consider floristry painting with flowers! It has definitely helped me to develop my individual, natural style.'

Sustainability is very important to Rachel. She only sources from local growers chosen very carefully for their quality blooms and environmental credentials.

Take a look at the gallery for examples of Rachel's work or get in touch for a chat. 'I love to talk about your ideas, flower choices and wedding themes. Every bride & groom is different and I believe your flowers should reflect your uniqueness and individuality.'

If you would like to get in touch, you can pick up the phone for a chat, e-mail Rachel or say 'hi' over social media! Whatever your preferred method of contact, please just click on the link below to get in touch.

Our Ethos

We are dedicated to becoming as sustainable and as kind to the planet as possible.

Here’s some of the ways we are trying:

  •  We strive to use local growers for all our arrangements. This ensures you receive the freshest and most beautiful flowers of the season. If for some reason we can't source blooms from local growers, we use British suppliers, and as a last resort imported blooms from Holland. This is in part dictated by the season and the requirements of the customer, however, we will always try our upmost to source flowers with the fewest “miles” involved.

  • We reuse and recycle as much as possible. Where we do use plastic, we try to get as many uses out of it as possible. We recycle all cardboard, paper and glass where possible.

  • If we need to use foam, we use 'agrawool', which is a natural wool based block. This can be reused or recycled as biodegradeable material.

  • We do not use cellophane.

  • Any packaging, labeling or card used is recycleable.

  • We do not use dyed, waxed or painted flowers.

  • All our green waste is composted

WHAT COUPLES HAVE TO SAY

Amy & Ryan

When I saw the bouquets I was quite shocked.  They were like nothing I had ever seen before and far more beautiful than I could have imagined.  The bridesmaids were really wowed too, and that was all before we had even seen the room decorations.

You did such an amazing job.  It was absolutely perfect.
