Hello...

Crowned NATIONAL WEDDING FLORIST OF THE YEAR 2026

Blossom & Kelp is an award-winning wedding and events florist based on the rugged Cornish coast.

With a background in illustration and design, Rachel brings a strong passion for colour, texture, and natural form to her floristry. Her designs are inspired by the landscape, featuring seasonal flowers layered with grasses, seed heads, berries, and expressive foliage to create arrangements that feel organic, relaxed, and full of life. Drawn to long walks in the countryside, Rachel allows the changing seasons to guide her work, ensuring every arrangement is completely unique.

“I’m passionate about all things natural, wild, and slightly undone. Berries, seed pods, grasses, and unusual foliage are some of my favourite elements to work with. I take my inspiration directly from nature and the seasons, and with my background in art, illustration, and design, I see floristry as painting with flowers. It’s helped me develop a distinctive, natural style.”

Sustainability is at the heart of Blossom & Kelp. Rachel works exclusively with carefully selected local growers, chosen for both the quality of their blooms and their strong environmental values.

Explore the gallery to see examples of Rachel’s work, or get in touch for a relaxed chat. “I love talking through ideas, flower choices, and wedding themes. Every couple is different, and I believe your flowers should reflect your individuality.”

Our Ethos

We are dedicated to becoming as sustainable and as kind to the planet as possible.

Here’s some of the ways we are trying:

  •  We strive to use local growers for all our arrangements. This ensures you receive the freshest and most beautiful flowers of the season. If for some reason we can't source blooms from local growers, we use British suppliers, and as a last resort imported blooms from Holland. This is in part dictated by the season and the requirements of the customer, however, we will always try our upmost to source flowers with the fewest “miles” involved.

  • We reuse and recycle as much as possible. Where we do use plastic, we try to get as many uses out of it as possible. We recycle all cardboard, paper and glass where possible.

  • If we need to use foam, we use 'agrawool', which is a natural wool based block. This can be reused or recycled as biodegradeable material.

  • We do not use cellophane.

  • Any packaging, labeling or card used is recycleable.

  • We do not use dyed, waxed or painted flowers.

  • All our green waste is composted

"' I just wanted to say a huge thank you for my wedding flowers.... they were exquisite and were everything I had dreamt of!  You really understood my vision and I loved it all - the colours, the varieties, the styling!  I appreciated all the effort you went to.  Thank you so very much!!!"
